The Roewe brand, which is part of the SAIC concern, presented the Pearl concept car in Shanghai. Its designer is Josef Kaban, who previously worked for various brands of the auto giants Volkswagen, BMW, Rolls-Royce. The prototype conceptually resembles Rolls-Royce, but the Roewe company itself has so far produced mainly “people’s” models, notes the Car News China portal.
The car is painted in pearl color with gold accents. The central pillar of the body is missing, the rear doors are suspended on the rear hinges. The side windows are frameless. The front and rear optics are designed in the same style.
