Changan has released the first images of a new battery-powered crossover. It will join the Qiyuan line and will receive the Q05 index. Changan already has a hybrid SUV with this designation, but the new product, according to AutoHome, is based on a different platform and will be equipped only with electric motors. Sales in China are scheduled to start in November. According to AutoHome, the new electric car will cost from 110 to 130 thousand yuan or from 26 to 30 thousand manats.

Crossovers with the same name but different power plants have nothing in common in appearance. The new Changan Qiyuan Q05 is distinguished, for example, by its original two-tier lighting, dynamic contours of the hood and bumpers, as well as a characteristic solution for the rear pillars.

It is known that the new product will be relatively compact. The overall dimensions of the electric car are 4435x1855x1600 millimeters with a wheelbase of 2735 millimeters. The Q05 is based on a new platform, and the engine range currently consists of only a 163-horsepower engine. It will be accompanied by two options for traction batteries of 40.29 and 51.91 kW h, which will allow the crossover to travel 405 and 506 kilometers without recharging, respectively.
