Hyundai has shown the first photos of the all-new Elexio electric crossover. This model was developed by the Beijing Hyundai joint venture specifically for the Chinese market. It should go on sale in the third quarter of this year.
Elexio is based on the same E-GMP platform as other Hyundai electric cars, as well as Kia and Genesis. At the same time, in terms of design, the SUV is noticeably different from the global line of battery-powered Hyundai Ioniq models, although it borrows some stylistic elements from them, including, for example, “pixel” lighting.
Hyundai Elexio received 20-inch wheels, retractable door handles, contrasting black pillars that create the effect of a “floating” roof, and roof rails. There are no photos of the interior yet, but it is stated that it will be minimalistic – almost without physical buttons.
The characteristics of the electric motors and battery have not yet been disclosed, it is only known that on one charge the new product will be able to travel up to 700 kilometers according to the Chinese CLTC cycle. Replenishing the energy reserve from 30 to 80 percent will take 27 minutes.
