The Jetour brand, part of the Chery concern, has released official images and the first characteristics of the Shanhai L7 Plus crossover, first presented at the Shanghai Auto Show. The hybrid SUV will be larger than the Shanhai L7 already sold in China and will be able to travel up to 1,500 kilometers. The start of sales of the new product is scheduled for the second half of August.

The dimensions of the Jetour Shanhai L7 Plus are 4810x1930x1705 millimeters with a wheelbase of 2820 millimeters and a trunk of up to 1708 liters. Between the axles of the new product is 75 millimeters more than the usual Shanhai L7, but it differs from the already known crossover not only in size: the L7 Plus received a completely new design of the front end, vaguely reminiscent of the stylistic solutions of Kia, flatter body sides and different lighting equipment.
The hybrid’s powertrain consists of a 1.5-liter internal combustion engine, an electric motor, and a lithium-iron-phosphate battery. The engines develop up to 360 hp and 530 Nm. Thanks to the 32.7-kilowatt battery, the crossover can travel up to 220 kilometers on electric traction with a total power reserve of 1.5 thousand.

The interior of the crossover with the Plus designation has also been completely redesigned – a different front panel and central tunnel, a new media system, and improved seats have been used. The 15.6-inch central display can rotate 10 degrees in either direction, and the seats can be folded into a flat floor at the touch of a button. It is expected that the Shanhai L7 Plus will be offered in China with both five and seven seats.
