Mitsubishi has another seven-seater crossover – Destinator. The family SUV debuted in Indonesia and is intended, in addition to Latin America, for South Asia, Africa and the Middle East. Despite the “off-road” appearance, the crossover will not have all-wheel drive – it is built on a front-wheel drive platform, which it shares with the “younger” Xforce.

The appearance of the Mitsubishi Destinator goes back to last year’s DST concept, while borrowing some features from the Pajero. In terms of size, it is inferior to the Outlander: the length, width and height are 4680, 1840 and 1780 millimeters, respectively, with a 2815-mm wheelbase. The approach and departure angles are 21 and 25.5 degrees. The wheel rims are small – 18-inch.

The Destinator’s interior features an eight-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch media system screen. The platform-sharing Xforce is equipped with similar features. Options include 64-color ambient lighting, a panoramic sunroof, a Yamaha audio system, and a set of electronic driver assistants.
There is only one powertrain – a 1.5-liter turbocharged four-cylinder with 163 horsepower (250 Nm of torque), paired with a CVT. As already noted, the drive is always front-wheel drive.
