Opel has unveiled the first production model of the “charged” battery-powered GSE line, which is a particularly powerful modification of the compact Mokka crossover. It received an electric powertrain with 280 horsepower, due to which it can reach the first 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds. The dynamic characteristics allow the company to call the Mokka GSE its fastest production electric car.

The amount of traction generated by the Mokka GSE engine is 345 Nm, the maximum speed is 200 km/h. The front-wheel drive uses a Torsen differential. It also has a 54-kilowatt battery (the range is not named) and three power electronics modes – sports, everyday with a maximum speed limit of 180 km/h and economical. The new product weighs about 1.6 tons.
It is claimed that some of the new parts of the electric car were developed with an eye on the previously presented GSE Rally prototype, which was tested during real competitions. Mokka GSE received rally-inspired shock absorbers, steering gear and brakes with yellow calipers.

External differences will include multiple yellow accents and 20-inch wheels, and the interior of the electric car will feature sports seats with Alcantara trim and a different steering wheel. The media system received the appropriate graphics and operating mode with the display of dynamic characteristics, including data on acceleration and overloads.
