A week is the sweet spot for Azerbaijan: enough for Baku itself, the mud volcanoes, one mountain region and a slow day with no plan at all. With a weekly rental you also get 7 × 250 km = 1,750 km of included mileage — more than this whole route needs.
A 7-day self-drive plan
- Days 1–2 — Baku. Old City, the Boulevard, Flame Towers. Park the car at the hotel; the centre is walkable and the car earns its keep outside town.
- Day 3 — Gobustan and Absheron (~150 km). Petroglyphs and mud volcanoes in the morning, Ateshgah fire temple and Yanar Dag after lunch.
- Days 4–5 — Gabala (~450 km round trip). Tufandag cable car, Nohur lake, waterfalls. Overnight makes the mountain roads unhurried.
- Day 6 — Guba day trip (~340 km). Canyon views and mountain villages on a good highway.
- Day 7 — flexible. A beach near Bilgah, shopping, or an easy return day.
Total: roughly 1,000–1,100 km — comfortably inside the allowance, with reserve for detours.
What a week costs
Economy automatic: 7 × 55 = 385 AZN with insurance, GYD delivery, second driver and GPS included. A crossover for the mountain legs: from 700 AZN/week. Add fuel for ~1,000 km and the refundable deposit from 200 AZN (returned after the rental when there are no accidents or fines). Considering longer? 30-day rentals drop the daily rate further.
Send your week’s dates on WhatsApp (+994 50 999 77 99) and we will hold the exact car from the live fleet — no prepayment needed.
