“Unlimited mileage” makes great ad copy — and quietly expensive rentals. Baku Cars publishes a clear allowance instead: 250 km per day, pooled across your whole booking. Most guests never come near it. Here is how it works in practice.
Pooled, not daily
The allowance multiplies by your rental days and counts as one budget. Three days = 750 km total; a week = 1,750 km. Stay parked two days and road-trip on the third — nothing is “lost”, the kilometres belong to the booking, not the calendar day.
What real routes consume
- A full Baku city day — typically 30–60 km.
- Gobustan mud volcanoes + Absheron temples loop — about 150 km.
- Baku–Gabala round trip — about 450 km.
- Baku–Guba round trip — about 340 km.
- The whole 7-day itinerary we published — roughly 1,100 km against a 1,750 km allowance.
Planning a bigger drive
Heading to Sheki (about 600 km round trip) or circling several regions? Two honest options: add rental days — a 4-day booking already carries 1,000 km — or tell us the route in advance and we agree the allowance before you sign. No surprises at return is the whole point of publishing the rule.
