As part of its strategy to split its model line into independent sub-brands, Land Rover has developed a new logo for the Range Rover family – the first since the first such model appeared in 1970. However, according to Autocar, the manufacturer does not plan to use unusual symbols on cars.
The logo is two letters R, vertically combined and visually merged together, made in the company font. On cars, meanwhile, the Range Rover inscription is used, which is placed on the hood or trunk door.

The company told the publication that the new identity was developed for use in situations where the use of horizontal inscription does not allow the use of horizontal inscription – for example, for event decoration or on printed materials. In addition, the symbol can become a pattern for a full-fledged pattern of repeating elements.
