Race week transforms Baku: the city circuit runs right through the centre, past the Old City walls and along the seafront. It is spectacular — and it changes how a rental car should be used. Here is honest advice from a local fleet.
Where a car helps during the Grand Prix

Where it does not
Streets inside and around the circuit perimeter close in stages during race week, and central parking tightens. Plan on foot or by metro for the grandstands; park the car at your accommodation on session days. That combination — car for the region, feet for the circuit — is how locals do it.
