Driving yourself is the default way to rent in Baku — no chauffeur fees, no schedules, just your own keys. This guide covers exactly who can rent a car in Baku without a driver, what it costs and what happens at handover.
Who can rent self-drive
- Age 23–65 with a driving licence held for at least 2 years.
- An ID card or passport — that is the whole document list for booking.
- If your experience is under 2 years, self-drive is not available, but we can provide a car with a driver instead.
What self-drive costs
Economy automatics (Hyundai Accent, Kia Cerato, Chevrolet Cruze) start from 55 AZN per day; electric and hybrid BYD models from 70 AZN; business sedans from 95 AZN and SUVs from 100 AZN. Every rate already includes CASCO + OSAGO insurance, free delivery in Baku or at GYD airport, one additional driver and a GPS unit. The refundable deposit starts from 200 AZN and depends on the car and the driver age.
The handover, minute by minute
We deliver the car to your address, walk around it together, note existing marks, sign the agreement and hand over the keys — usually 15 minutes. You drive with a 250 km daily allowance across all of Azerbaijan (border crossing is not permitted). At return we check the car together and the deposit comes back when there are no accidents or fines.
Minimum rental is 3 days. Compare every self-drive car in the live fleet or read the full rental terms; on WhatsApp (+994 50 999 77 99) we confirm availability in minutes.
